Financial Incident Involving 3.2 Billion Won Occurs at KB Kookmin Bank's Indonesian Subsidiary
A financial incident involving approximately 3.2 billion won occurred at KB Bank, the Indonesian subsidiary of KB Kookmin Bank.
On October 1, KB Kookmin Bank announced through a public disclosure that "an irregular transaction was discovered during an internal audit of its Indonesian subsidiary."
According to KB Kookmin Bank, 3,180.6 million won was withdrawn from an account even though there was no legitimate withdrawal request. The bank detected the issue on the day of the transaction and immediately suspended payments from the affected account.

Earlier, at the beginning of last month, KB Kookmin Bank also disclosed that an employee hired locally at KB Bank Indonesia was involved in a breach of trust incident, processing 1.8 billion won in loans that did not meet the required conditions.
