View original imageOn October 1, the Muan County Council in South Jeolla Province visited Illo Traditional Market ahead of the Chuseok holiday to encourage merchants and support the revitalization of the local commercial district.
On this day, the council members purchased holiday ritual goods, discussed current market issues with merchants, and listened to the voices of local residents. This event was organized to support merchants struggling due to the economic downturn and to encourage the use of traditional markets.
Chairman Lee Hosung stated, "Traditional markets are a solid foundation that supports the lives of our residents and the local economy," and added, "I hope our residents will make frequent use of these warm-hearted traditional markets."
