Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education Signs Cooperation Agreement with Gyeonggi Small Business Association and Korea Teachers’ Credit Union on October 1
On October 1, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education signed a 'mutual cooperation agreement for revitalizing the local economy' with the Gyeonggi Small Business Association and the Korea Teachers’ Credit Union at the Gwanggyo Southern Office in Suwon.
The purpose of the agreement is to actively support local small businesses in Gyeonggi Province by helping them join and expand their sales channels through the School Marketplace (S2B), an electronic procurement system for educational institutions, and to establish institutional and administrative foundations so that schools in the province can prioritize purchasing products from local small businesses.
Under the agreement, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will provide guidance and promotion to schools and institutions on prioritizing the purchase of local products through the use of S2B, as well as conduct training sessions for faculty and staff. The Gyeonggi Small Business Association will offer information sessions, explanations, and training for small business owners on S2B registration, while the Korea Teachers’ Credit Union will work on improving S2B, providing statistical data, supporting small business registration, and offering related training programs.
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education expects that this agreement will expand the participation of local small businesses and enable schools to make more rational purchases by securing a diverse range of competitively priced items.
