This training is a statutory requirement under the Industrial Safety and Health Act, designed to prevent industrial accidents and create a safe working environment. In light of the continued occurrence of serious and industrial accidents, the responsibilities and roles of supervisors are being emphasized. To enhance on-site responsiveness, the program was structured around real-world case studies.
The training was conducted twice in the first half of the year, on April 15 and 29. In the second half, it will be held twice more, in September and October, with each session lasting eight hours, for a total of four sessions annually.
The main topics covered include: the obligations of supervisors under the Industrial Safety and Health Act and the Serious Accident Punishment Act; the role of supervisors in preventing industrial accidents; and practical, field-based management of hazardous chemicals and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
