According to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, Commissioner Park toured both the Myeongdong Special Tourist Zone and Gwangjang Market in succession on this day, personally checking the status of the comprehensive security measures for the Chuseok holiday.

View original imageWhile visiting the Myeongdong Special Tourist Zone, Commissioner Park called for a strict response to illegal acts such as assault and verbal abuse targeting tourists. He urged, "Please pay close attention so that foreign tourists can experience safety and hospitality befitting the dignity of Korea."
Commissioner Park also listened to the concerns of merchants at Gwangjang Market. To accommodate citizens visiting traditional markets during the holiday, the police decided to temporarily allow parking and stopping on nearby roads.
