"Program to expand citywide next year"
Jongno District in Seoul (District Mayor Jeong Moon-heon) is recruiting participants for the "Jongno Good Life Challenge," a program aimed at helping seniors find friends, until October 13.
The "Jongno Good Life Challenge," which received enthusiastic responses when it was first held last year, has been expanded to take place twice this year, in June and October. The third edition of the program will be held on October 21 from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Seoul Donhwamun Gugakdang (102 Yulgok-ro).

To apply, applicants must visit the Senior Welfare Division at the district office (50 Jongno 1-gil, Building B, 12th floor) and submit the required documents by October 13.
This event will feature an aromatherapy oil-making experience, where participants will introduce themselves using the scents they have created and give their finished oils as gifts to their secret friends (manitto) in a special program.
At the first Good Life Challenge held at Unhyeongung Palace in October last year, six couples were formed, and at the second event held at Mugyewon in June this year, seven couples were formed, drawing much attention. There is growing interest in how many new couples will be formed at the third event. Jongno District plans to expand the program citywide starting next year and to hold the event quarterly to actively support seniors in building social connections.
