Gwangju Office of Education to Open School and Institution Parking Lots Free of Charge During Chuseok Holiday
The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced on September 30 that, for the convenience of travelers returning home during the Chuseok holiday, it will open the parking lots of its main office, affiliated educational institutions, and schools free of charge from October 3 to 9.
The parking facilities to be opened include a total of 153 locations: 15 administrative institutions such as the main office and the Dong and Bu District Education Support Offices, as well as 138 schools. However, schools and institutions currently under construction will be excluded to prevent safety accidents. The main office's self-parking lot, which has 313 spaces, will also be available, which is expected to help alleviate parking shortages in nearby residential areas.
Parking lot opening hours vary by institution, so users are advised to check in advance. The list of participating institutions and their schedules can be found in the notices section of the Office of Education's website.
