Hantan River, the signature tourist destination of Pocheon City in Gyeonggi Province, has been newly renovated and is drawing significant attention from visitors through the pilot operation of the 'Hantan River Garden Night Tour,' which began on September 26.
The 'Hantan River Garden Night Tour' offers visitors the chance to enjoy lights and a variety of experiences amid pristine nature, making it an ideal spot to capture beautiful nightscape photos this fall. In particular, it is expected to provide a special experience for visitors during the upcoming Chuseok holiday.
The 'Hantan River Garden Night Tour' is piloting the first phase of the 'Hantan River Media Art Park,' the largest natural landscape media theme park in Korea, and has introduced interactive media and immersive landscape lighting across five themed zones. Notable highlights include a giant rock balloon sculpture reaching up to 12 meters in height and a laser aurora show, offering visitors an exotic experience reminiscent of entering a Norwegian troll village.

Additionally, the sharply carved basalt columnar joint canyon, an ecological landscape area planted with a variety of autumn flowers, and the country's longest Y-shaped suspension bridge over the Hantan River, stretching 410 meters, all feature media content and facade shows that stimulate the senses of tourists. The 'Volcano of Light,' a large-scale media facade show projected against the 40-meter-high Hantan River columnar joint canyon, offers a vibrant array of sights and entertainment, and visitors can also experience interactive content utilizing lasers and gobo lights.
The 'Hantan River Garden Night Tour' will operate its content until November 2, starting at 6 p.m. each day. On Fridays and Saturdays, it will remain open until 10 p.m., and until 9 p.m. on other days. The venue will be closed every Monday for facility inspections.
