Cheorwon County Successfully Hosts Musical "Becoming Mom"... Promoting Positive Perceptions of Childbirth and Expanding Family Empathy
Cheorwon County in Gangwon Province successfully hosted the emotional musical "Becoming Mom" and a family experience program on September 27 at the small theater of the Cheorwon Comprehensive Culture and Welfare Center to raise awareness about low birth rates.
This event combined a musical performance carrying a positive message that views childbirth as a warm process anyone can experience, with family experience programs such as balloon art and caricature drawing held before the show. Together, they offered both joy and inspiration to local residents. In particular, the hands-on activities, where children and parents participated and shared laughter, further brightened the atmosphere of the venue.
The musical "Becoming Mom" delivered a moving portrayal of how parents and families grow together through the process of welcoming new life, deeply resonating with the audience.
One attendee who watched the performance shared, "Although childbirth and parenting can be challenging, I was reminded once again that it is a precious experience created together by the entire family."
Cheorwon County is being recognized for spreading a positive perception of childbirth through this event, sharing the value of family with its residents, and presenting a new cultural and artistic approach to addressing the issue of low birth rates.
