Up to Two Tickets Per Person... Busan City Distributes Free National Sports Festival Opening Ceremony Tickets at Administrative Welfare Centers
First-Come, First-Served Distribution Begins on September 30
The city of Busan will begin distributing free admission tickets for the opening ceremony of the National Sports Festival.
Busan City (Mayor Park Hyungjoon) announced that admission tickets for the opening ceremony of the 106th National Sports Festival, which will be held at Busan Asiad Main Stadium on October 17, will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis starting September 30.
Regardless of resident registration address, up to two tickets per person can be obtained at administrative welfare centers in all 16 districts and counties within Busan. Only those with tickets will be allowed entry and viewing on the day of the event.
The opening ceremony will take place at 6:00 p.m. on October 17. The city has prepared this opening ceremony not just as a sports event, but as a large-scale cultural festival embodying Busan's identity and future vision. Under the theme "The Ship Arrives, Busan!", the official program will feature an omnibus musical performance and the lighting of the torch.
Park Kalin, the executive director, will design the stage using containers symbolizing Busan and will showcase the city's history, culture, and vision for the future. The main performance will be led by musical actor Choi Jaerim as the stage director (ringmaster), with the band Daybreak and singer Kim Taewoo delivering celebratory performances.
