Gangwon Province to Hold Parata Airlines Yangyang-Jeju Route Launch Ceremony on the 30th

On September 29, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Kim Jin-tae) announced that it will hold a launch ceremony on September 30 to commemorate the inauguration of the regular Yangyang-Jeju route by Parata Airlines, the base airline at Yangyang International Airport.

View original imageParata Airlines previously obtained a revised air transport business license from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in March. The company introduced its first aircraft (A330) on July 31, successfully passed the emergency evacuation test on August 11, completed the aircraft demonstration test on August 22, and introduced its second aircraft (A320) on September 6. The airline received its Air Operator Certificate (AOC), the final step required for flight operations, on September 8, thereby completing all administrative procedures necessary for the route launch.
The launch ceremony will be attended by the governor, the chairperson of the provincial council, officials from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Korea Airports Corporation, and heads of related organizations. Official events will begin at 7:00 a.m. with an opening and progress report, awards for contributors to airport revitalization, and a welcome event for departing passengers. The ceremony will conclude with a send-off event for passengers at the domestic departures area on the second floor.
