CGV Upgrades 'Yongsan SCREEN X Theater'... Operations Resume
Ultra-High-Resolution Projectors Installed on Left and Right Screens
CGV announced on September 29 that it will unveil the upgraded 'Yongsan SCREEN X Theater,' the world's first four-sided SCREEN X auditorium, on October 2.
The Yongsan SCREEN X Theater, which made its debut in January, is the world's first four-sided theater, featuring screens on the left, right, front, and even the ceiling. By introducing Dolby Atmos and equipping all seats with recliners, the theater has enhanced the immersive movie-watching experience.
The core of this upgrade is the improvement in video quality. Ultra-high-resolution 3Chip-DLP (4K Laser) projectors have been installed on the left and right screens, and the ceiling screen has been replaced with the same material. This upgrade promises sharper image quality, richer colors, and improved contrast. SCREEN X theaters at the Yeongdeungpo, Wangsimni, and Hongdae locations are also scheduled to be upgraded sequentially within the year.
