October 1-5
"Promoting the Use of Traditional Markets"
Iksan City in North Jeolla Province will hold the 'Onnuri Gift Certificate Rebate Event' from October 1 to 5 in celebration of Chuseok.
According to the city on September 29, this event, supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, has been organized to ease the burden of Chuseok grocery shopping and to promote the use of traditional markets.
During the event period, shoppers who purchase domestic agricultural, livestock, or seafood products at traditional markets can receive a rebate of 30% of their purchase amount, up to a maximum of 20,000 won, in Onnuri gift certificates.
For agricultural and livestock products, the event applies only at designated stores in Bukbu Market, Iksan Market, and Seodong Market. For seafood, it applies at designated stores in Bukbu Market, Iksan Market, Nambu Market, and Gu Market. The rebate amount is 10,000 won for purchases between 34,000 won and less than 67,000 won, and 20,000 won for purchases of 67,000 won or more.
To receive the rebate, shoppers must present same-day receipts at the designated rebate booths in the markets between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. After on-site identity verification, the rebate will be provided in Onnuri gift certificates. The rebate booths are located near 'Seoul Rice Cake Shop' in Bukbu Market and Iksan Market, 'Nambu Market Square' in Nambu Market and Gu Market, and 'Another Top Coffee Shop' in Seodong Market.
The city expects this event to provide practical benefits for both merchants and citizens and to serve as a catalyst for local economic recovery.
