View original imageThe Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (hereinafter referred to as "Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae") announced on September 29 that the Korea Gas Corporation Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters had donated 5 million won to support Chuseok holiday supplies for vulnerable disabled groups in Gwangsan-gu.
The donation ceremony was held on September 25 at the Gwangsan-gu branch of the Gwangju Association for the Physically Disabled, located on Saam-ro in Gwangsan-gu. The event was attended by Lee Haksoo, Head of Administration at the Korea Gas Corporation Gwangju Jeonnam Regional Headquarters; Park Heungcheol, Secretary General of Gwangju Sarangui Yeolmae; Nam Hanwoo, President of the Gwangsan-gu branch of the Association for the Physically Disabled; Tak Mihwa, Vice President of the Gwangsan-gu branch; and other officials.
This donation was made in celebration of Chuseok, the nation's largest traditional holiday, and will be delivered as essential items to households of vulnerable disabled people in the region through the Gwangsan-gu branch of the Association for the Physically Disabled. The donated items consist of melon and traditional Korean confectionery gift sets, which are suitable for the holiday season and are expected to provide timely support to those who may be easily marginalized during this period.
