The Energy New Industry Innovation Convergence University Project Group at Gyeongnam Information University, known as "Busan's Leading Community College," recently organized a career exploration and experience program in collaboration with the Department of Chemical and Energy Engineering for students from Dong-A Technical High School.

Participating students toured Gyeongnam Information University's cutting-edge laboratories and training facilities, engaging in hands-on programs such as coin cell manufacturing practice and hydrogen process simulations using VR/AR equipment. Through these experiences, they directly explored various career paths in renewable energy, secondary batteries, and the hydrogen industry.
On the day of the event, Kim Byeongcheol, head of the Department of Chemical and Energy Engineering, introduced the department's curriculum and career opportunities, stating, "The Department of Chemical and Energy Engineering at Gyeongnam Information University specializes in training practical professionals in hydrogen, energy storage, and carbon neutrality. Together with the project group, we will do our utmost to foster future global talent."
Kim Bongsu, head of the Energy New Industry Innovation Convergence University Project Group, commented, "This program is meaningful in that it connects classroom theory with advanced practical training, helping students realistically design their careers in the energy new industry sector. Going forward, we will expand practical training and mentoring in partnership with local industries to establish a talent development system linking high schools, universities, and companies."
