Every year, piano majors and promising performers from across the country compete, and the competition has consistently contributed to the development of piano education and performance in Korea.
The final stage is judged by a panel of professional adjudicators under strict standards. Many past winners are now actively performing both domestically and internationally, and the competition is regarded as a gateway for emerging pianists.
Hajun Lee received high praise from the judges for presenting a wide-ranging repertoire, nuanced interpretation, and stable performance skills throughout both the preliminary and final rounds. In particular, he was recognized for his exceptional musical concentration and interpretative abilities.
Hajun Lee shared, “Everything I have learned from my major advisor, Professor Shin Minja, and from Teacher Kim Yuseon has been a great source of strength. Although I felt pressure competing against performers from renowned universities and graduate schools, I am very happy to have achieved a good result after striving to uphold the honor of my school and meet expectations.”
