IBK Industrial Bank of Korea Signs Cybersecurity Agreement with Korea Internet & Security Agency
Strengthening Joint Response to Cyber Threats and Information Sharing System
On September 26, IBK Industrial Bank of Korea announced that it had signed a "business agreement to strengthen the response to cyber threats and information sharing system" with the Korea Internet & Security Agency on the 25th.

View original imageThe bank explained that the agreement was signed to establish a joint cyber response system in cooperation with the agency, which is responsible for information security in the private sector.
The two organizations will jointly promote initiatives such as strengthening the sharing of cyber threat information, identifying new vulnerabilities in financial software and sharing information on an ongoing basis, as well as regularly operating a cyber threat response council.
Through the agreement, IBK Industrial Bank of Korea plans to expand its cyber threat response network, enhance its security level, and establish a security cooperation system that encompasses both the public and private sectors.

Byungsam Park, Chief Information Security Officer of IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, said, "The key to responding to cyberattacks is to proactively secure threat information and use it for immediate response," adding, "We will continue to work with various organizations to enhance IBK Industrial Bank of Korea's cybersecurity level and strengthen its response capabilities."
