Police: "No Prior Acquaintance"... Investigating Attempted Murder Charge
A woman in her 20s was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after stabbing a stranger, a merchant, with a weapon at Jungang Market in Suncheon, South Jeolla Province.
The Suncheon Police Station announced on the 26th that they had arrested and were investigating Ms. A (in her 20s) on suspicion of attempted murder.
Ms. A is accused of stabbing Ms. B, a merchant in her 60s, three times in the neck and lower body with a weapon at an underwear shop in Jungang Market, Suncheon, around 7 p.m. the previous day.
The victim, Ms. B, was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment by fire authorities who responded to the emergency call.
According to the police, Ms. A wandered around the market holding a weapon just before the crime, and was apprehended at the scene after nearby merchants reported the incident.
