Paju City Seeks Ways to Improve Taxi Transportation Services with Personal Taxi Drivers

View original imageAt this Mobile Mayor's Office event, more than 30 people attended, including Kim Kyungil, mayor of Paju City, executives and members of the Paju City Personal Taxi Association. The event provided an opportunity to directly listen to the transportation issues and difficulties experienced by personal taxi drivers on-site and to engage in in-depth discussions about the challenges facing taxi transportation services.
Participants presented a variety of suggestions, including the installation of new taxi stands, maintenance of existing taxi stands, expansion of the 1,000-won taxi service areas and pick-up/drop-off locations, and requests for improvements to intersections and road structures to enhance traffic flow.
Paju City plans to thoroughly review the opinions raised during the event and actively reflect them in its policies. For areas requiring the expansion of taxi transportation infrastructure and institutional improvements, the city will establish and proactively implement mid- to long-term plans. In addition, the city aims to create a stable working environment for taxi drivers and will continue ongoing communication to improve taxi transportation services in ways that citizens can truly experience.
