Sales Limited to 1,000 Units in the Second Half of the Year
Volvo announced on the 29th that it will limit the sales of its flagship sedan, the S90, to 1,000 units for the second half of the year, aiming to continue its success in the imported sedan market.
The S90, launched in July, has attracted attention with its Scandinavian design and cutting-edge technology. The model features a new front grille and slim matrix LED headlights, while the rear has been updated with newly designed taillights. In addition to the existing five color options, Mulberry Red has been added, offering a wider selection. With a wheelbase of 3,060 mm, it boasts the most spacious interior in its class.
For the Korean market, Volvo has introduced the next-generation user experience, 'Volvo Car UX,' developed in collaboration with Tmap Mobility. The vehicle also comes equipped with Tmap Auto, the Nugu Auto AI platform designed for automobiles, Tmap Store, and the Naver Whale browser for cars. Advanced safety features, branded as 'Safety Space Technology,' have been applied, including Pilot Assist, Lane Keeping Aid, Oncoming Lane Mitigation, Blind Spot Information System with Steering Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Rear Collision Warning.
The S90 is available as a plug-in hybrid (T8) that can drive up to 65 km in electric mode on a single charge, and as a gasoline-based 48V mild hybrid (B5) with a maximum output of 250 horsepower. The price ranges from 65.3 million to 71.3 million won for the S90 B5, and 91.4 million won for the T8.
