NH Nonghyup Bank Launches Account, Installment Savings, and Check Card Package for Foreign Residents in Korea

NH Nonghyup Bank announced on September 25 that it has launched the 'NH Global With Account, Installment Savings, and Check Card Package' for foreign customers residing in Korea.
Among the 'NH Global With Account, Installment Savings, and Check Card Package,' the demand deposit account offers an interest rate of up to 2.0% per year (limited to a daily balance of 1 million won) when preferential conditions are met, as well as exemptions from electronic banking and ATM fees, and a 50% preferential benefit on overseas remittance exchange rates and fees.
The installment savings plan can be subscribed to for a period of 6 to 24 months, allowing free deposits of up to 500,000 won per month. Depending on usage performance such as foreign exchange transactions, a preferential interest rate of 1.5 percentage points is applied, offering a maximum interest rate of 3.8%.
The check card offers 5% to 10% discounts (cashback) on everyday purchases including online shopping, large supermarkets, public transportation, and convenience stores, as well as a 2% discount on overseas use and exemption from ATM fees. To commemorate the launch of the package, an event will be held until October 16 on the NH All One Bank, NH Nonghyup’s main financial platform, where customers who answer a quiz about the new product will be entered into a draw to win 5,000 NH Points, with a total of 2,400 winners.
In October, the Seonbu-dong branch in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, the Baran branch in Hwaseong, and the Yeonsu Financial Center in Incheon will be designated as foreign customer-specialized branches, where the 'NH Global With Desk' will be operated on a trial basis. This desk will utilize an artificial intelligence (AI) real-time interpretation and translation solution that supports 38 languages, helping foreign customers lower language barriers and receive financial consultations at the counter.
