Uijeongbu City Holds First Regular Meeting of the 3rd Residents' Autonomy Council
The Residents' Autonomy Council of Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor: Kim Donggeun), held its regular meeting on September 22 in the city hall’s medium conference room, attended by the heads of the Residents' Autonomy Councils from 15 districts.

View original imageAt this meeting, marking the launch of the third term of the Residents' Autonomy Council, executives who will lead the council for the next two years and four months were elected. Shin Minsik, head of the Gosan-dong Residents' Autonomy Council, was elected as chairperson; Hyun Yongsan, head of the Singok 2-dong Residents' Autonomy Council, as vice chairperson; Lee Hyundong, head of the Songsan 3-dong Residents' Autonomy Council, as auditor; and Lee Jinchun, head of the Heungseon-dong Residents' Autonomy Council, as secretary general.
Chairperson Shin Minsik stated, "It is an honor to serve as the chairperson of the third term of the Residents' Autonomy Council, and I feel a great sense of responsibility. I will do my utmost to faithfully reflect the will of the residents and contribute to the development of residents' autonomy in Uijeongbu City."
Mayor Kim Donggeun said, "I sincerely congratulate you on the launch of the third term of the Residents' Autonomy Council. I hope the council will play a strong central role in driving change and development in Uijeongbu City. The city government will also actively support the further maturation of residents' autonomy."
