Export-Import Bank of Korea Donates 360 Million Won to Social Welfare Facilities for Chuseok

View original imageThe Export-Import Bank of Korea announced on the 24th that, in celebration of Chuseok, it donated a total of 360 million won to 17 social welfare facilities nationwide and that its executives and employees participated in volunteer activities together.
On the 23rd, employees at the bank’s headquarters shared the spirit of Chuseok by delivering donations to a free meal center for the homeless near Seoul Station and volunteering to serve meals.
Employees from 13 branches across the country, including Busan, Daejeon, and Gwangju, also visited local social welfare facilities for the holiday, delivering festive food and essential items to children, people with disabilities, and vulnerable elderly residents, continuing the spirit of sharing.
Jonghyuk Ahn, Acting President of the Export-Import Bank of Korea, stated, “In celebration of Chuseok, the nation’s biggest holiday, we carried out this volunteer activity to share warmth with our marginalized neighbors,” adding, “We will continue to expand our social contribution activities to support vulnerable groups in our society.”

This summer, the Export-Import Bank of Korea supported vulnerable groups, such as elderly people living alone, by providing cooling expenses to help them cope with record-breaking heat, and continued its social contribution efforts by volunteering to help with the harvest in villages partnered through its ‘one company, one village’ program.
