Ministry of the Interior and Safety Selects Sejong City as "Top-Performing Institution" in Fiscal Execution Evaluation
Secured a Total Incentive of 430 Million Won
Achieved Rapid Execution and Consumption/Investment Targets
In the fiscal execution evaluation for the first half of 2025, organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Sejong City was the only metropolitan or special city nationwide to be selected as the top-performing institution. Having already secured a special grant tax of 230 million won as the top institution in the first quarter of this year, Sejong City will receive an additional 200 million won, bringing the total incentive to 430 million won.
According to Sejong City on September 23, this evaluation selects outstanding institutions in order of highest evaluation scores among local governments that have achieved both rapid execution and consumption/investment targets. The city executed 503.8 billion won compared to the first-half rapid execution target of 415.2 billion won, exceeding the target by 88.6 billion won.
Sejong City also executed 140.6 billion won compared to the consumption and investment target of 137 billion won, surpassing the target by 3.6 billion won, making it the only metropolitan or special city nationwide to be selected as the top-performing institution.
