Man in His 20s Who Threw Eggs at Park Chung-hee Statue Turns Himself In to Police
A man in his twenties who threw eggs at the statue of former President Park Chung-hee in the plaza at Dongdaegu Station has turned himself in to the police.
According to the Dongbu Police Station in Daegu on September 23, a man in his twenties, identified as Mr. A, reported his actions and surrendered at a police station in Seoul the previous day.
Mr. A is suspected of throwing eggs at the Park Chung-hee statue in the Dongdaegu Station plaza at around 8:40 p.m. on September 21.
At the time, a security guard from the Daegu Public Facilities Management Corporation witnessed the incident through closed-circuit television (CCTV) and reported it to the police.
The statue was found to have sustained no significant damage.
