Discussing Ways to Expand Bilateral Business Exchanges and Strengthen Cooperation in Advanced Industries
Yoon Jinshik, Chairman of the Korea International Trade Association, met with Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism of the United Arab Emirates, in Abu Dhabi, UAE, to discuss ways to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries.
On the 22nd (local time), the Korea International Trade Association announced that Chairman Yoon visited the UAE to attend the launch ceremony of the Korea-UAE Economic Cooperation Committee and held a meeting with Minister Al Marri. The Korea-UAE Economic Cooperation Committee was officially launched as a follow-up measure to the financial business agreement on bilateral economic cooperation signed between the Korea International Trade Association and the UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in January last year.

View original imageAt the meeting, Chairman Yoon stated, "The UAE has significant potential for cooperation with Korean companies, as it possesses a global investment network based on its energy resources and geopolitical advantages. I hope exchanges between businesspeople from both countries will further expand."
Minister Al Marri responded, "The UAE has established itself as a testbed for new industries and a hub for startups. We look forward to seeing Korean companies grow through advanced technology and human resource exchanges."

Korean companies accompanying this launch requested Minister Al Marri to improve regulations, such as identifying the realities of illegal local distribution networks. They also emphasized the need for cooperation in advanced industries, including artificial intelligence transformation (AX) and stablecoins.
