Korea Investment & Securities Holds Bankis University Student Mock Investment Competition Awards Ceremony
Korea Investment & Securities announced on the 23rd that it held the awards ceremony for the 'Bankis University Student Mock Investment Competition' at its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, on the 19th.
This competition was held over five weeks from July 7 to August 8, with 4,631 university students from both Korea and abroad participating. Among them, 10 individual participants and 6 teams with the highest cumulative returns were selected as the final winners and received a total of 25.1 million won in scholarships.
In the domestic stock league, Kang Byunggil, a third-year student at Chosun University, won first place in the individual category, while the 'Busan University SMP' team took first place in the team category. In the overseas stock league, Seo Daehan, a third-year student at Soongsil University, and the 'Stock Choco Milk' team each claimed first place in the individual and team categories, respectively.
The top five individual performers by return will be granted an exemption from the document screening process for one application when applying for a position at Korea Investment & Securities within the next two years. Additionally, those applying for recruitment-linked internships will be exempt from the aptitude test.

Park Jaehyun, Head of the Individual Customer Group at Korea Investment & Securities, stated, "We regularly hold mock investment competitions to provide university students with opportunities to gain diverse investment experience in environments similar to real-world situations," adding, "We plan to continue developing various programs to promote a sound investment culture."
