Hanwha Group announced on September 22 that, in celebration of Chuseok, it will make early payments totaling 303.5 billion won to 2,620 partner companies to support smooth cash flow for its partners and to boost domestic demand.
The payment amounts include 143 billion won from Hanwha Ocean, 76.3 billion won from Hanwha Aerospace, and 35.7 billion won from Hanwha Systems. Hanwha Group has been advancing payments to its partners ahead of holidays such as Lunar New Year and Chuseok to ease their financial burdens. During the last Lunar New Year, the group made early payments of approximately 170 billion won, and about 190 billion won during last year's Chuseok.
In addition, Hanwha Group will purchase Onnuri gift certificates worth 6.5 billion won and distribute them to its employees to help revitalize local businesses. By using these Onnuri gift certificates at traditional markets ahead of the holiday, employees are expected to contribute to a virtuous cycle in the local economy.
