Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Kim Jin-tae) announced on September 22 that it will host the 'Hydrogen Storage and Transportation Technology Exchange Seminar' from September 25 to 26 at the Donghae Mangsang Convention Center and throughout the Donghae and Samcheok areas.

View original imageThis seminar has been organized to share innovative technologies in hydrogen storage and transportation for energy transition and carbon neutrality, and to strengthen cooperation among companies, universities, and research institutes. Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, Donghae City, Samcheok City, Korea East-West Power Company, and the Hydrogen Safety Cluster Convergence Graduate School at Kangwon National University are jointly organizing and hosting the event. Numerous stakeholders from the hydrogen industry, including the Korea Institute of Advanced Technology and Seoul National University of Science and Technology, will participate.
On the first day of the seminar, presentations will be given on topics such as the current status of the Gangwon Special Hydrogen Cluster Project, strategies for hydrogen storage, transportation, and workforce development, the role and outlook of P2G technology in the era of energy transition, and the current status of hydrogen slush and e-methane technology development. This will be followed by a comprehensive discussion on the theme of 'Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province's Carbon Neutrality Strategy.'
On the second day, participants will visit key sites such as the Donghae Green Hydrogen R&D Cluster, the Samcheok Gyodong Complex Station, and the Hydrogen Pilot City to explore future business models and practical cooperation measures linked to the hydrogen-specialized cluster.
