Suwon Pay Incentive Increased to 20% for Chuseok Holiday
Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province will increase the Suwon Pay incentive to 20% in celebration of the Chuseok holiday throughout October.
The incentive will be provided starting at 9 a.m. on October 1 and will continue until the allocated budget is exhausted. The maximum recharge limit is 500,000 won. If you recharge 500,000 won, you will receive an incentive of 100,000 won.
Suwon Pay can be recharged through the Gyeonggi local currency app or at offline recharge centers. The list of offline recharge centers can be found on the Suwon City website (www.suwon.go.kr) by searching for "Suwon City Local Currency" in the search bar and checking the announcements board.

Starting this year, Suwon City increased the Suwon Pay incentive to 10%. The recharge limit was raised from 300,000 won to 500,000 won, and the incentive was increased to 20% in January and October, which include the Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays.

A Suwon City official stated, "We hope that expanding the Suwon Pay incentive will help ease the financial burden on citizens and revitalize the local economy," adding, "We expect to see increased spending in neighborhood businesses during the Chuseok holiday period."
