Rare Domestic Fish Jerky Also Offered as Premium Gift Sets
On September 22, Lotte Department Store announced that it will be selling a limited-edition gift set of jukbangryeom anchovies, produced in collaboration with artisan Kim Minsik, who has been making jukbangryeom anchovies for over 100 years across three generations. These anchovies have been specially planned as a designated producer gift (GIFT) exclusive to Lotte Department Store.

View original imageJukbangryeom anchovies can only be caught in the Jijoek Strait in the southern sea of Korea, using a traditional bamboo trap fishing method called jukbangryeom. According to the company, the anchovies are processed by boiling and drying within 10 minutes of being caught, ensuring optimal freshness. This results in a clean, savory flavor without any fishy taste. The gift sets are limited to 100 units and are available in the following options: "Jukbangryeom Anchovy Geon (400,000 won)" and "Premium Jukbangryeom Anchovy Geon & Gon sets (500,000 won and 300,000 won)" respectively.
Due to a sharp decline in catch volume, domestically produced fish jerky, which has rapidly gained popularity as a premium product, has also been newly planned as a high-end gift set featuring the exclusive "Lepicerie Package" for the first time at Lotte Department Store. Representative sets include the "Lepicerie Fish Jerky & Meat Jerky Mixed 4 Types (100,000 won)" and the "Premium Fish Jerky Special Grade (150,000 won)."
