Geumcheon District to Hold Social Welfare Expo "Welfare Playground" on the 23rd
Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the District's Establishment
and the 20th Anniversary of the Community Security Council
Geumcheon District in Seoul (District Mayor Yoo Seonghun) will hold the 26th Social Welfare Day Expo, titled "Welfare Playground: Let's Play in Geumcheon," at 10:30 a.m. on September 23 at the district office plaza. The event is co-hosted with the Geumcheon District Community Security Council, celebrating both the 30th anniversary of the district's establishment and the 20th anniversary of the council.
The district explained that it has prepared a variety of activities so that all residents can easily and enjoyably access welfare information, including hands-on booths tailored to different age groups, food experience zones, and cultural and artistic performances.
The event will kick off at 10:30 a.m. with a congratulatory performance by residents. At 11:00 a.m., the 26th Social Welfare Day commemorative ceremony will take place, during which 25 individuals who have contributed to the advancement of social welfare will receive commendations.
Starting at 1:00 p.m., the second part of the event will feature a total of six cultural and artistic performances, including jazz, music performances, hip-hop dance, a magic balloon bubble show, a girl group performance, and a trot stage. There will also be a family-friendly program with a variety of activities such as quizzes, talent shows, and prize draws for everyone to enjoy.
