Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the National Student Robot Competition is a nationwide science and technology contest organized and hosted by the Korea School Robot Education Promotion Association, with support from Guro District, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and ICT, and Kwangwoon University. The event, held annually to discover and nurture future talents in science and technology, has established itself as a platform for domestic students to showcase their creativity and problem-solving skills.

The competition featured a total of six categories: robot creation, robot algorithms, robot line tracing, robot missions, robot recycling, and robot driving missions. Participating students designed and operated their own robots, competing fiercely as they implemented team strategies.

Prizes will be awarded to a total of 135 teams, including prestigious awards such as the Minister of Science and ICT Award, the Minister of Education Award, the Speaker of the National Assembly Award, and the Guro District Head Award. The list of winners will be announced next month on the Korea School Robot Education Promotion Association’s website after the conclusion of the competition.

Jang Inhong, head of Guro District Office, stated, “It was very meaningful to see so many students interested in robotics pouring their sweat and passion into the competition. We will continue to do our best to provide various hands-on opportunities so that students can fully demonstrate their creative inquiry skills.”
