Pregnant Woman Among Four Injured in Gangnam Five-Car Pileup... Woman in Her 30s Arrested
A woman in her 30s was apprehended by police after causing a five-car pileup while driving under the influence in broad daylight in downtown Seoul, injuring a pregnant woman.
The Seoul Gangnam Police Station announced on the 20th that the driver, identified as A, was arrested at the scene for violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving) and is currently under investigation regarding the circumstances of the accident.
At approximately 10:32 a.m. that day, A is suspected of driving under the influence in the first lane of Eonju-ro, heading from the southern end of Seongsu Bridge toward the Dosan Park intersection, when she crashed into the car in front of her, causing a five-car collision.
A's blood alcohol concentration was reportedly at a level warranting license revocation.
