With the opening of this road, Icheon City expects to alleviate traffic congestion by dispersing traffic from the SK Hynix plant to downtown Icheon, and to improve convenience for those traveling between the city center, Danwol-dong, Moga-myeon, and Daewol-myeon. The newly constructed Jangnokcheon Bridge along the route has also enhanced convenience for local residents and improved logistics efficiency.
The city began construction of this urban planning road in January 2023 and completed it in 2 years and 8 months, with a total investment of 17 billion won. Icheon City also plans to expand Daero 2-7 by 2027 in connection with this new road.
