Pocheon City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Younghyeon) announced on September 19 that it will sign a 'Local Revitalization Win-Win Sisterhood Business Agreement' with the Seoul Regional Public Procurement Service (Commissioner Lim Byungcheol) on October 1, launching a cooperative initiative for regional mutual growth.
This agreement has been promoted in line with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's 'Local Revitalization' policy, aiming to boost regional vitality and support the recovery of domestic demand.
Pocheon City will promote local agricultural and specialty products as well as cultural and tourism resources. The Seoul Regional Public Procurement Service will contribute to revitalizing the local economy by hosting institutional events, organizing staff visits linked to vacation programs, purchasing specialty products, and participating in the Hometown Love Donation initiative.
Pocheon City plans to connect this agreement with major festivals, including the World Drone Festival opening on October 9, and will support the participation of Seoul Regional Public Procurement Service staff and their experience of local culture. The city expects that the effects of this agreement will spread across the tourism, culture, and economic sectors.
