The Hwajinpo Sherwood Hall Cultural Space was established to honor the dedication of Rosetta Sherwood Hall, who entered Joseon in the late 19th century. It serves as a place of remembrance for nearly half a century of medical, educational, and humanitarian contributions made by the Sherwood Hall family in Korea until 1940. Located at 278 Hwajinpo-gil, Geojin-eup, it was created by remodeling the former Hwajinpo Ecological Museum into a distinctive exhibition space with a total floor area of 1,596 square meters and three above-ground floors.
A total of 3.8 billion won was invested in this remodeling project, and it is particularly significant for efficiently utilizing existing resources to recreate the site as a cultural and historical space.
