The Hoengseong Luge Welcome Center was developed as a pilot project for balanced regional development in the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province. The building has a total floor area of 349.98 square meters, a building area of 253.84 square meters, and consists of two above-ground floors. It features a ticket booth, convenience facilities, and rest areas, providing a more comfortable environment and a variety of activities for tourists who wish to enjoy the luge experience.
Previously, the luge experience center lacked a separate waiting area, resulting in complaints about long wait times during peak seasons. The creation of the Welcome Center is expected to resolve these issues and enhance visitor satisfaction by offering comprehensive tourism services.
Additionally, the county is considering operating a small shop in the future where souvenirs and local specialty products can be displayed and sold. This is expected to further promote tourism and invigorate the local economy.
