Ministry of National Defense Suspends Three Additional General Officers from Defense Counterintelligence Command
Three general officers belonging to the Defense Counterintelligence Command have been additionally suspended from duty.
The Ministry of National Defense announced on September 18 that it had implemented separate assignments to suspend three general officers from the Defense Counterintelligence Command from their duties.
The general officers suspended from duty reportedly include Lim Sammook, Director of the 2nd Division of the Defense Counterintelligence Command (Air Force Brigadier General), and two commanders of counterintelligence units supporting the Ministry of National Defense and Army Headquarters. As a result, all seven general officers from the Defense Counterintelligence Command have now been suspended from duty since the December 3 Martial Law Incident.
Currently, the Defense Counterintelligence Command is being operated under the acting command of Pyun Musam (Army Brigadier General) and acting Chief of Staff Han Jinhee (Navy Brigadier General).
