Korea Deloitte to Host "Global HR & Tax Management Seminar" for Companies Entering the U.S. Market
Korea Deloitte Group announced on September 18 that it will host the "Global HR & Tax Management Seminar" for HR and tax professionals from domestic companies on September 25 at The Forum, Two IFC, Yeouido, Seoul.
This seminar will feature tax advisory experts from Korea Deloitte Group and practitioners from domestic companies as speakers. They will explain strategies for managing dispatched personnel and tax issues for companies planning to expand overseas or those already operating abroad. In particular, the seminar will include an in-depth discussion on tax and compensation issues that may arise during entry into the U.S. market, especially for domestic companies considering strategic entry into the U.S. to diversify supply chains in response to recent tariff policies of the Trump administration.
The seminar will consist of four sessions: ▲Essential considerations for tax management of overseas dispatched personnel ▲Procedures and key points for U.S. expatriate tax filing ▲Fail-proof strategies for designing expatriate compensation ▲Global HR operation case studies.
In the first session, Kwon Hyukki, Partner of the GES Group in the Tax Advisory Division at Korea Deloitte Group, will analyze the importance and key issues of tax management at each stage of overseas dispatch and introduce solutions for successful expatriate tax management.
In the second session, Kim Dongyun, Director of the GES Group in the Tax Advisory Division at Korea Deloitte Group, will present key checkpoints related to personal income tax obligations for employees dispatched to the United States and share real-world case studies.
In the third session, Jung Yurok, former Executive Director of Expatriate Compensation Solutions at Mercer Korea, will discuss factors to consider when designing compensation systems for expatriates and, through case studies, will highlight ways to enhance employee satisfaction and strengthen long-term global workforce strategies. The final session will feature Cho Junyoung, Head of the HR Team at LS Group Holdings, who will provide practical insights by sharing global HR operation cases based on field experience.
The final panel session will offer an opportunity for in-depth discussion of practical concerns and questions submitted in advance, and will also cover visa-related matters to consider when traveling to the United States on business.
Kwon Jiweon, Head of the Tax Advisory Division at Korea Deloitte Group, stated, "This seminar will offer actionable strategies, especially for executives and practitioners at companies seeking to expand investment in the United States," adding, "Deloitte Anjin will continue to actively support global companies in establishing stable workforce and tax strategies amid changing environments."
