Korea Development Bank Supports Construction of Specialized Power Semiconductor Plant in Busan
Korea Development Bank announced on the 17th that it attended the completion ceremony of IQ Lab's silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductor production plant, located in Busan's specialized complex for power semiconductor materials, components, and equipment, along with more than 300 participants including Hyungjun Park, Mayor of Busan.
This company is a power semiconductor design and manufacturing venture founded in May 2018 in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province. Until now, it has produced products through foundries or leased factories, such as the Pohang University of Science and Technology Nano Convergence Technology Institute. According to Korea Development Bank, the construction of this new plant is expected to improve production efficiency by establishing an in-house mass production system.
