Electric Pickup "Musso EV" Achieves Annual Sales Target of 6,000 Units in Just Six Months
Launch Events Held in Europe
Accelerating Global Expansion
KG Mobility (KGM) announced on September 17 that the electric pickup truck "Musso EV" surpassed cumulative sales of 6,000 units within six months of its launch, achieving its annual sales target ahead of schedule.
The "Musso EV," which began deliveries to customers in March, recorded sales of 526 units in March, 719 units in April, 1,167 units in May, 563 units in June, 1,339 units in July, 1,040 units in August, and approximately 700 units as of September 16.
KGM explained that the positive response to the Musso EV was due to the combination of over 20 years of accumulated pickup manufacturing expertise and advanced electrification technology, providing the comfort level of a midsize SUV, the quietness unique to electric vehicles, and the pickup’s outstanding cargo capacity (up to 500 kg).
In particular, the Musso EV is eligible for a national subsidy of 6.52 million won and a local government subsidy of 1.86 million won (based on Seoul), making the purchase price possible in the upper 30 million won range (39.62 million won). Small business owners can purchase the vehicle in the mid-30 million won range with additional support and VAT refunds.
Building on its domestic success, the Musso EV is now accelerating its entry into the global market. Since the beginning of this year, KGM has been conducting pre-marketing activities for the Musso EV in European markets such as Germany and Italy, and since August, it has been holding official launch events.
