These initiatives include supporting the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra's concert tour in the United States, co-hosting classical and opera performances, and enhancing citizens' enjoyment of culture by revitalizing the arts.
This collaboration was initiated to expand the reach of classical music and elevate its international standing, following the partnership between the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra and the Seaiwoonhyeong Cultural Foundation, which began in 2023. The foundation has been recognized for its contributions to the development of culture and the arts in South Korea through various support activities.
Established in August 2013, the Seaiwoonhyeong Cultural Foundation was founded in honor of the late Lee Woonhyung, former Chairman of SeAH Group, who was a passionate supporter of opera. The foundation discovers and supports promising emerging Korean artists and regularly hosts classical music performances.
