On September 16, Gyeonggi Province held a preliminary briefing session for the Songpa-Hanam Line metropolitan railway technical bidding project at the Administrative Welfare Center in Gam-il-dong, Hanam City.

View original imageThis session was organized to share key information about the Songpa-Hanam Line metropolitan railway construction project, which will be carried out through a turnkey bid, with construction and engineering companies interested in or wishing to participate in the project before the official bid announcement. The event also aimed to gather a wide range of opinions from the industry.
The Songpa-Hanam Line metropolitan railway construction project involves extending Subway Line 3, which currently operates up to Ogeum Station, by a total of 11.7 kilometers to Hanam City Hall Station (with a transfer to Line 5). The new route will pass through central Seoul as well as the new towns of Gam-il and Gyosan in Hanam.
During the session, an overview of the entire Songpa-Hanam Line project and the upcoming bidding schedule was provided. In addition, basic planning materials were distributed to help construction and engineering firms make informed decisions about participating in the bid, and questions and feedback from construction and design companies were collected.

Kim Yurae, Director of Railway Construction at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "We will actively support the participation of skilled construction companies in the Songpa-Hanam Line project, which will play a key role in transportation for the Hanam Gyosan District. We will do our utmost to ensure fairness in the technical bidding process by making project details and schedules transparent."
