View original imageAmong Korean golfers, Se Young Kim is currently showcasing the hottest form. She has finished in the top 10 in four out of her last five tournaments, demonstrating a steep upward trajectory. Since July, she has been in contention for the title at every event she has entered. Her lowest finish was a tie for 13th at the AIG Women’s Open, but even then, she was competing for the win until the end.
Since claiming her 12th career LPGA Tour victory at the Pelican Championship in November 2020, Se Young Kim has endured a 58-month winless drought. Last year at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, she narrowly missed out on victory, finishing third after missing the playoff by just one stroke on the final day. Kim is known for her ability to make a late charge. The course is not particularly difficult, and this event is one of the few remaining 54-hole, three-round tournaments on the LPGA Tour. It presents a prime opportunity for her to capture her 13th career title.
