Gwangju Urban Corporation (President Kim Seungnam) received the "Best Institution Award" in the affiliated public institutions category at the "2025 Public Sector Human Resource Development (Best HRD)" event hosted by the Ministry of Education and jointly participated by the Ministry of Personnel Management on September 16. With this award, the corporation has established itself as a leading organization in public sector human resource development.


The "Public Sector Human Resource Development Excellent Institution Certification System" is a program that certifies organizations that realize competency-based recruitment and management and provide employees with continuous education and training opportunities.


This year, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Personnel Management evaluated public sector organizations nationwide on their human resource development systems, educational operations, and performance management to select outstanding institutions. Gwangju Urban Corporation was chosen as the best institution in the affiliated public institutions category, recognized as an exemplary case of human resource development among local public enterprises across the country.


The corporation has implemented various human resource development initiatives, including establishing a rational personnel management system, expanding educational infrastructure by establishing a talent development center, and operating customized training programs by job function and rank.


Building on these achievements, Gwangju Urban Corporation has received certification a total of four times since its first recognition in 2016, and this time achieved the distinction of being selected as the best institution in the affiliated public institutions category.


President Kim Seungnam stated, "This recognition as the best institution is the result of the collective efforts of all executives and employees," adding, "We will continue to become a more trusted public enterprise for the local community and citizens through systematic personnel management and differentiated education and training."
