Daebang Nobleland 7th Senior Citizens' Center Named "Grand Prize" Winner

Yangsan City, South Gyeongsang Province, held the "2025 Selection Review for Outstanding Senior Citizens' Centers" on September 15 to discover exemplary cases of senior center management, enhance the pride of the elderly, and revitalize the operation of these centers.

This review targeted eight senior citizens' centers within the city that passed the first round of document screening. A panel of experts directly participated in the process and conducted presentation evaluations.


The evaluation criteria covered a total of five areas: transparency in management, the level of self-governance activities, efforts to revitalize operations, the establishment of operational support systems, and exemplary cases.


The awards were as follows: the Grand Prize went to Daebang Nobleland 7th Senior Citizens' Center; Excellence Awards were given to Daebang Nobleland Yeonriji and Naesong Senior Citizens' Center; Encouragement Awards went to Beomeo Hyundai, Solbaram (Sasong The Sharp 6th Complex), and Daedong Image 2nd Complex Senior Citizens' Center; and the Merit Award was given to Gyesuk and Bando Ubora 2nd Senior Citizens' Center.


The eight outstanding centers will be presented with plaques at the Senior Citizens' Day ceremony on October 2. In addition, the Grand Prize winner will receive 1 million won, the Excellence Award winners 700,000 won, the Encouragement Award winners 400,000 won, and the Merit Award winners 300,000 won in additional operating funds.


An official from Yangsan City stated, "We will continue to provide unwavering interest and support so that senior citizens' centers can develop beyond simple resting spaces into vibrant hubs for autonomous leisure and welfare. We will also strive to further improve the quality of life for the elderly and foster a healthy culture for later life."
