'The Garden Becomes a Playground'... Gwangmyeong Saebit Park to Host 'Garden Culture Festival' on the 27th
Sports Day, Survival Game, Musical, and Hands-On Booths to Be Held
Gwangmyeong City in Gyeonggi Province is presenting a special festival this autumn, inviting people to play, relax, and enjoy themselves in a garden setting.
On September 16, Gwangmyeong City announced that it will host the "2nd Gwangmyeong Garden Culture Festival" under the theme "Let's Go to the Garden, Let's Play in the Garden!" at Saebit Park in Iljik-dong on September 27.
The festival will focus on hands-on programs that citizens can directly participate in and enjoy.
At the event venue, a variety of interactive booths will be set up for families and children to enjoy together, including colored sand play, a grass flute class, giving name tags to garden plants, a four-leaf clover coin hunt, and a bumpy mirror play activity.
There will also be various garden creation programs operated by a cooperative formed by citizen gardeners trained by the city, such as making flower pinwheels, crafting flower, insect, and animal necklaces, creating flower pots with deform blocks, making flower bracelets, and pebble art.
On the lawn square, there will be a team relay competition called "Cheerful Sports Day" and a nostalgic game enjoyed in the garden called "Survival in the Garden (Squid Game)."
Other highlights include a "Garden Quiz Show" to test garden knowledge, an original musical titled "The Great Adventure of Animal Friends in Saebit Garden Part 3," and a garden market where visitors can find gardening supplies, garden products, and food.
