Chungcheongnam-do has established itself as a model local government for regional cultural policy by being the only metropolitan government to win the top prize at the 2025 Korea Cultural Value Awards.
According to the province on September 16, the Korea Cultural Value Awards, hosted by the Korea Cultural Value Research Association, are presented to local governments and cultural foundations that have developed and implemented distinctive cultural projects, thereby contributing to increased cultural enjoyment opportunities and improved quality of life for residents.
The province was recognized for its achievements in cultural policy, focusing on the eighth popularly elected administration’s pledges and key initiatives, including the operation of the Chungnam Creative Studio and Seoul Exhibition Hall, management of the Baekje Cultural Complex, the Himssen Chungnam Geotjyu walking program, establishing a hub for e-sports and the gaming industry, the "One City/County, One Signature Festival" initiative, and a priority entry system for pregnant women and families with young children.
