Through this project, the county plans to carry out 1.1 kilometers of local river maintenance, 1.39 kilometers of small stream maintenance, bridge reconstruction, riverbank retention basins, branch waterways, and the installation of erosion control dams, with the goal of completing the project by 2030.
Kang Sewon, head of the Disaster Prevention Team, stated, "We will prioritize protecting the lives and property of our residents and do our utmost to prevent recurring disasters," adding, "We will continue to actively identify and pursue public projects to build a safer Yeongwol."
